Carving Pumkins

We went to Grandpa Ned's last night and all of the kids got to carve pumpkins!! Cael really didn't care about the pumpkins, he just wanted a sucker and Layne came home from work yesterday all prepared to carve the best pumpkin of all!!! So he carved Cael's pumpkin & he is so proud of his work!!!

Grandma Peggy's Kill

Grandma Peggy & Lacy drew out for a Muzzel Loader deer tag - so John has been trying desperately to get them both a deer...well they were successful last night! I have never seen my mom so excited, she was so proud of her first kill!!! Way to go mom & Lacy, they shot at the same time at two different bucks and killed them both!!

Fall is Here!

Summer is over! Now it's back to work! Our life during the fall months...Layne goes to work - then he switches schedules every 2 months and then he goes hunting...(that is where he is now for 5 days) I have never seen him so excited for a hunt in my whole life so thanks Josh & Travis for going with him on the muzzle loader! I have started preschool and Cael is just growing tall, tall, tall! He is getting so big and he talks non-stop! He has a few favorite words he says now----side (outside), love you daddy (which he tells everybody), thank you daddy (even if daddy isn't around) Shelby (his cousin) Cashe (Cash our dog) Roxie (our other dog), bumpa (grandpa), and mama (grandma) and yes he has forgotten how to say Mommy - I am now daddy! He loves his dad, and that is all he talks about all day long!

We have finally gotten settled in our new house, with no yard but we are working on it slowly...here are some in the middle pictures of our huge project. We are hoping by next summer to have some grass!!!

One thing I have decided that I am good at well not good at but I do it all of the time - is L*A*U*N*D*R*Y!!! And even better than that - Cael loves to help me. I fold the clothes - he pulls them off of the couch or bed and unfolds them!! And now this week he has even been helping me put clothes from the washer into the dryer....and when I got back from putting some clothes away this is what I found!!



He couldn't get out & he started to cry ----it was so funny!

Reading

When I taught middle school I tried to read a lot - so I could stay up with my students but now teaching preschool & having a 1 1/2 year old I haven't been reading very much...but I have over the summer finished some books & I have decided that I need to read more...maybe that can be another hobby of mine instead of changing diapers, fixing chicken nuggets, doing laundry, and sometimes going shopping! So here are the latest and greatest books that I have read - these are the ones that I would recommend, they were great! I love books that I can finish in 2 days - that's when you know they are good!




I am starting this book now - so hopefully it's as good as the others.

Grandma Peggy Should Be Proud..

We had a great day today, Shelby wanted to help me clean so I asked her to wipe off the table chairs and Cael wanted to help so I got him his own rag and he went right along side Shelby cleaning the chairs. I thought of Grandma Peggy she loves to see her grand kids with a rag in their hands! So these pictures are for you mom - at least you know I'm trying to teach Cael something!!

Yellowstone
