Reading

When I taught middle school I tried to read a lot - so I could stay up with my students but now teaching preschool & having a 1 1/2 year old I haven't been reading very much...but I have over the summer finished some books & I have decided that I need to read more...maybe that can be another hobby of mine instead of changing diapers, fixing chicken nuggets, doing laundry, and sometimes going shopping! So here are the latest and greatest books that I have read - these are the ones that I would recommend, they were great! I love books that I can finish in 2 days - that's when you know they are good!




I am starting this book now - so hopefully it's as good as the others.

Grandma Peggy Should Be Proud..

We had a great day today, Shelby wanted to help me clean so I asked her to wipe off the table chairs and Cael wanted to help so I got him his own rag and he went right along side Shelby cleaning the chairs. I thought of Grandma Peggy she loves to see her grand kids with a rag in their hands! So these pictures are for you mom - at least you know I'm trying to teach Cael something!!

Yellowstone

We just got back from Yellowstone & Bear Lake we have had a fun couple of weeks. I don't have any Bear Lake pictures because I forgot my camera - but here are some Yellowstone ones. Thanks Grandma Jeri & Grandpa Dean for letting us come with you, it was so much fun!!

Discovery Day Preschool

Most of you know but after I had Cael I stopped teaching middle school and started teaching Preschool with my sister-in-law Lacy. I love it, we had a blast last year and we are getting ready for this year!! We still have a couple of spots that are open in the morning and afternoon classes so if you know anyone who needs to send their 3 or 4 year old to preschool tell them to call us or check out our new blog ---

Happy Anniversary - Thursday

Cael is taking a nap so I had 5 minutes to get on the computer so I thought I better say Happy Anniversary to US!!!
We have been married for 5 years - wow I can't believe we have been married for that long it has gone by so fast! It's been the best 5 years ever! We have had so much fun and this last year has been so great with having Cael and we just bought a new house (Wow we are growing up!) Thanks Layne for 5 great years, you are the greatest, and the best thing that has ever happened to me! I Love You!!

Yellowstone

Book Cliffs Hunt

Stuck in a hole....

We bought a new house!! Yeah for us - we have slowly been cleaning it and Layne has been working on the yard, well because there isn't one yet. Cael loves to help his dad and so today they worked on putting up our mailbox - while Layne was getting the mailbox out of the truck Cael decided to see if Layne's hole was big enough.....Here is what happened

He was stuck in the hole & loved it! He just sat there and laughed, we're not sure how he got in - I'm just glad he went in feet first & not head first!

Here is another picture of Cael working outside in the yard, at first he wasn't too sure about the backhoe but when he finally got in and rode with his Uncle Josh, we couldn't get him out. He loved it!

One of my students that I taught at South Hills needed to do an art project in her high school class so she asked if she could use one of Cael's pictures -- I said sure so here is the picture she used....
